Is This Mind Really Me?
Every day, countless thoughts arise in our minds.
Some disappear in a moment.
Some return again and again.
Some seem important, while others quickly fade away.
Where do these thoughts come from?
Many of them are not created by us.
They come from what we have seen on television, the internet, social media, conversations with other people, our education, and the experiences we have accumulated throughout our lives.
These memories and images are stored within us. They blend with our natural way of thinking and appear as new thoughts whenever certain situations arise.
Because these thoughts feel so familiar, we often believe,
"This is me."
But is it really?
A thought is not necessarily your true self.
Many thoughts are simply information you have received, images you have seen, or opinions you have heard from others.
Recognizing this is the beginning of self-awareness.
When we learn to distinguish between our true heart and the countless thoughts that pass through our minds, we begin to see ourselves more clearly.
And when we understand ourselves more clearly, we can also see the world with greater wisdom, balance, and compassion.
The journey to discovering your true heart begins with one simple question:
"Am I really my mind?"
This is the first step toward discovering your true heart.
